Faith in Reconciliation

Monday 4 to Wednesday 6 September 2023

Cluj-Kolozsvár, Rumania,

As we approach the 36th IARF Congress, we’d like to provide you with an update, including the detailed programme, speakers, information on the International Association of Liberal Religious Women (IALRW) Congress, and the Pre-Congress Tour. Visit https://iarf.net/congress-2023 for more details.

The Congress, themed “Faith in Reconciliation,” to be held on 4-6 September 2023 în Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár), Romania (as well as online), will offer a comprehensive mix of engaging talks, workshops, and discussions, exploring religion’s role in inspiring healing, reconciliation, and just peace. For the first time in our history, online participation in all events will be possible, including engaging in conversations and using a virtual lobby to get to know other participants and renew old IARF relationships or meet new people and start new collaboration projects.
Featured speakers include Prof. George Williams, Rev. Rosemary Bray McNatt, Prof. Kathy Matsui, Rev. John Young, Prof. Kunihiko Terasawa and Rev. Dr. Esther Suter.

The Congress schedule encompasses various events, including speeches and talks, interfaith devotions, panel discussions, circle group interactions, the IARF’s Greeley Award ceremony, and the General Meeting of IARF. A full timetable can be found here: https://iarf.net/congress-2023#programme.
The Keynote Speech, Remembering History as a Prelude to Reconciliation, will be delivered by Prof. George Williams.
